The government affairs and regulatory representation practice has broad experience in federal legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting the shipbuilding, aerospace, military industrial, small business, and automotive industries and their respective trade associations. Over the past 30 years members of this firm individually have engaged in very active legislative affairs practices and have represented major trade associations, Fortune 500 companies, and large federal military organizations before the United States Congress. With respect to the private entities, firm members have represented these same clients and others before most federal agencies on major agency rule-making and enforcement proceedings. The firm also develops, staffs and implements complete government relations programs for trade associations, including the formation of coalitions to promote legislative or regulatory initiatives impacting the industry.
Our representation has included all facets of trade association activities including: advertising and marketing, government relations, public relations, contract negotiations for convention sites and exhibitor space, executive employment contracts, political action committees, and application of antitrust laws to associations.
